SSK

So how many greens in the application checklist before dodmerb is triggered? Any idea anyone..

Every single checkmark has to be green and you're deemed a competitive applicant.

@ From A Family of Enlisted - Not to derail this thread, but I saw you post and remembered you were trying to make a decision on whether or not to accept your appointment after several attempts. What did you decide? I admire your determination and wish you the best!

My DoDMERB originally was triggered by USNA but when USMA requested my DoDMERB I did NOT have everything green.
I only had my CFA, SAT score, personal info and transcript submitted when USNA sent me to DoDMERB last July.

Ended up accepting, thank you for your well wishes! Long live The Gray Line!

Everything needs to be green before you even get to start the dodmerb shenanigans. Good luck! Make sure you're honest but not too honest. They don't care if you had a tonsillectomy when you were nine. Just remember, at least you don't have to go to MEPS.

Update on dodmerb section in portal. But DD could login to Dodmet site. She emailed dodmerb, they replied that her details are not with them yet.. will wait till Monday and see what happens.

The DoDMERB trigger is different based on where you apply from (geographically region) or type of candidate you are (athlete vs regular applicant). For a regular candidate in the North East, you need to have your Candidate Personal Data Record and your Candidate Statements completed and be competitive to trigger the medical.

Great lakes commander had a session where she explained the process and she stated that all parts of the application must be done before dodmerb (except for extenuating circumstances).

Where did you find out about that? I’m in the Great Lakes Region and didn’t hear about it. Was it on FB or another Social Media platform?

It was in late April, they sent an e-mail out to presumably anyone who had opened an application in that region. The platform they used was Google Meets.

Interesting. I've always been told it's at least half of the SSK.

When USMA requested my DoDMERB I did not have all of the application complete. Most? Yes. All? No.

Maybe they're a little more lenient then they originally let on, but we were told that we should have green check marks by everything in order to be open for DODMERB. For reference, I'm missing my candidate statements, CFA, and two SOE's. Everything else is completed. No peep from DODMERB. I'll inform at what point I hear from them, but I don't expect it to be until those are completed. Anything earlier, great.
