Hello. I'm a junior in high school. Just to clarify, April 2018 is when you can start your application, and January 2019 is when it ends, and SAT and ACT scores should be submitted by January 2019. Sorry, I'm just confused on the dates.

In January of 2018, the process will start. Then you will apply to NASS or submit a preliminary application. After that, you can get a portal login and do the normal application (activities, grades, DODMERB, CFA, SATs, etc.) starting in April or May. The normal application(and all of its parts) is due in January 2019 like you said. PM me if you have questions. The nominations process is completely separate with different start and end dates as well.

I already signed up for the SAT and ACT for this month, can I use that for the preliminary application, and then maybe do the test again if I'm able to do the regular app.?

If you have already taken the SAT prior to starting you application you can submit your current SAT scores. You can continue to take the SAT tests through your junior and senior year and submit all new scores as well up to the application deadline. The Naval Academy super scores, so they take your highest math score and highest verbal score from all of your test scores submitted and combine the 2 highest scores for your total.

Ok, thank you.
