New to forum. Would like tomwish all a Happy New Year and best of luck to all 2018 candidates. My DD is a 2019 usma hopeful. I'm very proud of her. She has worked so hard these past couple of years. She is the battalion commander of her jrotc which is 230 cadets strong. She is counting the days till she can start her application process. Any words of advice would be greatly appreciated.

DD was put into jrotc as an elective. She didn't know if she would like it, 6 months later it was all she was talking about. It never stopped and she said she was going to be commander by the time she graduated. She really loves everything about it.

That's an amazing accomplishment and will definitely boost her chances, motivation, and ability to succeed in the app process. She's already got a lot of the skills need for academy life which is great. Ask away and if she wants an inside perspective from a senior who completed her app and is awaiting an acceptance, please feel free to message me! :) -Jackie

Thanks for your replies. January 13, cannot come soon enough. Or should I say January 12th at 12:01 according to her. We will definitely be eager to pick everyones brains. I can omly imagine what you candidates have gone through this past year. The waitimg must be the worst.

Having done this once before, the waiting was easier when there was rolling admissions. Waiting til Feb or March is much harder!
