State Nomination Threads - Moderated

Another in California. Anyone hear from Kamala Harris? My son received local congressional district nomination for USAFA (competitive slate). Letter and portal update both arrived Tuesday. Had received email from Feinstein about not getting nomination a couple weeks ago. Had not heard anything from Harris - no postcard, no interview. Yesterday nomination (USAFA) appeared in portal! Unexpected to say the least.

Yea I didn't hear anything from Harris either, I heard for Feinstein saying I wouldn't get one buy that's it.

DS has not heard from Harris, but received an email from Feinstein
 
Do senators and MOCs review each other's lists and coordinate potential nominations before finalizing? Or are they working completely independently from each other?

Yes to either. Some do, some dont,

Yes. Just depends on who/where.
 
Hi everyone, I have been lurking for a while but this is my first time posting. My representative's nomination to USMA showed up on my portal this morning, no call/email/letter, but nothing on my portals for the other academies. Does this mean it's the end of the road? I'm starting to get worried. Thanks in advance

Did you apply for VP noms? Have you heard back from other MOCs? Certainly NOT the end of the road for USMA but for the others the door MAY have narrowed significantly.

I believe my representative is the only one of my MOCs who nominates to multiple academies. I did apply for VP noms for all 3 and even have an LOA to my second choice, but that doesn't look like it'll be helpful if I don't have a nomination. I think I should just log off the internet for a few days and relax.
