My DS heard back from Senator Warren's office to hold December 16 for interviews

My son checked his West Point portal today and found that he had a nomination. He has not received word otherwise through email, U.S. mail or phone call so he is trying to figure out the nominating source. There is a code that says fl04. Does anyone know what this could mean? Also, does anyone know if you can receive more than one nomination in Florida for the same academy (I mean more than one MOC nomination)? I have heard that the senators and local congressmen in Florida confer and try to spread the nominations out so that you can't receive two nominations from more than one for the same academy.

That would be your 4th District Representative (John Rutherford) in the House.

I would expect that he could get a Senatorial nomination, in addition to his District's Representative nomination. Even the nominating sources don't know who the nomination will be charged to until after R-Day.

Congratulations to your son!

Congratulations! We are also from Florida, just different district. DD hasn’t done yet interview with District Representative.

First of all Congratulations!

Just curious if and when your son was interviewed and how long it took West Point's portal to update the great news.

He interviewed with both senators and our local congressman. The most recent interview was through Senator Rubio's office just last weekend. The other two interviews were in mid October. The email came today from West Point so he actually learned of the nomination through West Point first which is what caught him off guard. We had expected nomination news would come first through the MOC but when he checked his portal after receiving the "congratulations" email it was checked off with the code fl04. So based on what I understand from others on this forum it sounds like the nomination came from our local congressman. We had been told nominations would not be coming out until December so it was quite a surprise.

All DD’s nominations came via snail mail, and then confirmed on the portal. I imagine maybe they just mailed the letter and updated the portal at the same time. I bet your letter will be in the mail soon! Congrats

I got a senatorial nomination, and Shelby sent me a letter telling me that I was NOT on his slate, so I'm assuming that means I was on sessions slate. His nominations were sent out 27 jan 2015

I know this was some time ago, but does Senator Shelby do interviews? I can’t find anything on his site about interviews and DS has heard nothing from his office. Thanks.

Rubio and Nelson teams talk and will only nominate from one of them. My son last year got Nelson and his Congress person and a rep from Rubio called to tell him why he didn’t get a nom from them.

Tillis (NC) is having interviews this Saturday. No word from Burr.

Just got back from an interview for Carper (DE)! Is anyone familiar with how long it takes to hear back?

has anyone received a nomination from senator or congressman from Texas yet?

Yes, Tx-02 district has finalized their congressional nominations. I just received mine and also was offered an LOA in mid September so at this point (with my file complete, near perfect CFA score, and medical qualification), I can only sit and wait. IF anyone has advice on patience, now would be a great time to share.
