Actually, my son is in a similar situation when he has not heard anything from any senator yet. His congressional interview is tomorrow. Keeping fingers crossed...
 
Hello,
I'm from Massachusetts and was wondering if anyone has heard back from Senator Markey's office yet. I had an interview around a month ago and have not heard anything since.

I haven't heard anything from my senators either, and one office claimed they'd notify by end of December/ early January. Perhaps the delay might be due to the government shutdown?

Yes, my congressman conducted interviews mid November, and I received a nomination in early December. Since I know that at least 2 of the 10 of us nominated are recruited athletes, I'm hoping for a senators nomination to improve my chances. I understand that I'll probably just go to the national pool though. Good luck to your son!
 
@skiergirl24 , being recruited athlete, you will get one way or the other. It's just a matter of time - which I know is hard when all you are thinking is about this.
Which sport you are in and which academy you will be going to?

Sorry for the confusion- I am not a recruited athlete, but I know that 2 people on the USAFA slate in my district are.

My DS is in the same boat as you. Interviewed with Markey and Warren in mid Dec. No word since. We understand they will post at the 1/31 deadline and that they are coordinating to “spread the wealth.” He did get a nom from our Congressman to USMA so that has taken the pressure off. Best wishes to you.

And I should note that the nom has still not been posted in the portal, despite a phone call from the MOC on 12/31. Sounds like this is common - are others experiencing the same?

Many others are waiting too. All nominations are due on the 31st, so expect to hear then and be pleasantly surprised if you hear sooner!
 
Have to agree with USNAismyplace. Have found that in the past that your candidate portal gets updated first (around Jan. 29-30) and then you get notified. In my Mid's situation she knew because her portal was updated first on Jan. 30. A call came a few days later from one senator and an email about a week later from the other Senator.
 
An update for Missouri Candidate who had not heard from Senator Blunt yet:
My DS received a letter in the mail with a Nomination to USMMA today. No phone call or email prior to the letter.
That wraps up his nominations...2 to USMMA, 2 to USMA and one to USNA.
USMMA is his #1 choice , currently a hold candidate and recruited athlete there.

Nothing from blunt either! I have not heard from MO-02 either. Its worrying me, but I will keep waiting!

We got a letter from Blunt today. Waiting for DS to get home to open!
