State Nomination Threads - Moderated

DS also received a nomination from CO-4 to USAFA and USNA. Has an LOA from both. Also medically waivered. Will be accepting USNA appointment. So excited! Best wishes for all. The wait is so stressful and long but worth the wait when fulfilled.

Go hug your mom and dad, enjoy this time and wait for the mail. You did the work to get here, now go be a safe bubble wrapped high school senior. And buy your mom some Kleenex. I am going through it like chex mix.

Woooaaaahh, it is indeed one of my tribe! I got a competitive from Rounds, one from Johnson and am still patiently waiting on Thune. I am applying to USAFA. What about you?

Just checked my portal this morning and it says Thune has nominated me. No formal communication though.
 
DD nom from IN-3 showed up in portal today after being notified yesterday. Thought she was out of luck after not receiving nom’s after November interviews with Senator and Congressman committees. DD received LOA on Christmas Eve and the letter from admissions stated “We will inform your Representative and Senators of our desire to appoint you to the Air Force Academy.” Shortly thereafter our Congressman’s office reached out and offered a personal interview with our Congressman, which occurred last Friday. He told my daughter that it was the first time he had ever given a second interview. My DD thought the interview went great and was much easier speaking directly to the Congressman and his District Director. The LOA made the difference for us even after not making the initial cut.

I am USAFA as well. Best of luck to you! Hopefully we both get the chance to represent SD! Yes I checked my portal today and received one from Senator Thune as well, but no formal communication either.
 
My DS received a letter from NC-03 (Murphy--who replaced Jones). He received noms to USAFA, USMA, and USMMA. There was no interview though. He got a nom from Tillis for USNA, so we are very hopeful that one of these will become an appointment. The waiting is killing all of us!!

I received it to the Merchant Marine Academy! Hoping I'll secure one to another acad. too! I learned the Senator nominations would be released by then at my last interview, where my panel gave me a sheet of paper containing that information. Good luck!

Without a LOA It’s now about the same as anyone else after receiving a MOC nomination....... 1 in 5350 I would say (535 MOC‘s times 10 people listed per slate)
