STATs Thread for those who are appointed

Hey all if all those who are appointed would be comfortable sharing some of their stats, that would be greatly appreciated.

What is the point of sharing stats? The only stat that matters is if you are appointed or not. Anything else only leads to speculation on why Candidate X received an appointment instead of Candidate Y...

I agree, and to add on to that, I think that most appointees would be wise to keep their cards close.

These “stats” are slivers of the whole pie. How the high school is ranked, essays, interview impressions, courses taken vs. courses available, and many other factors are considered. The class profiles published by the SAs are handy reference points.

Just seeing peer metrics could discourage someone who could be a superb candidate and fine future junior officer but feel they don’t have a chance after seeing others’ metrics, without realizing the encompassing aspects of the SAs’ whole person model of candidate evaluation.

Applicants/appointees should feel free to post what they choose within SAF guidelines, but 360 deg thinking is always good to do as a leader, in terms of impact on others, upsides/downsides, what is the goal for the thread, what does it do for me vs. what does it do for others, does this align with my leadership philosophy, whether servant leadership or something else.

This right here is the best sort of information. Curious why they don’t put PPQ numbers anymore. I’m willing to bet it’s about 65% of the class.

The competition really occurs in each “nom bucket” category (see the Sticky Post pinned to the top of the Nominations forum), including District but also the VP (everyone who applies) as well as those the SA has authority to charge appointments to that they control.

Stats, slates, sports, noms, districts, connections, etc., etc., etc., you just hope when the admissions board throws the dice you come up double sixes and not snake eyes, too simplistic? Yes, it is.
