Anybody have any insight into application status being placed in HOLD status this late in the game? He is fully qualified and everything complete. Thanks
When did his status change to hold? Hold means that you are fully qualified but they are waiting to rank you in your state once they evaluate the rest of the applicants. I talked to admissions the other day and the next round of applicants will be evaluated this week and files will be designated about a week or so after they do so. So just hang tight, you're son is almost there!
If you don't mind me asking, what are you DS's SAT/gpa scores just for comparison sakes? You can pm if you are more comfortable sharing that way.
Hope this helps.
Thanks!

This explanation is a little different than what I understand from my sons "hold" letter he received. The letter states he is 3q but is being placed on the national waiting list and as vacancies occur, HOLD candidates are offered appointments in order of merit based on their competitive standing on the state AND national listings.
DS status changed to Principle today ....wow happy Family
My son was on hold, his status changed to "blank" last week and today he received an appointment to NMMI as a sponsored prep!
Happy Dance!
Congratulations!!!!
