Has anyone heard any information about decisions on this year's STEM acceptances? The application says decisions will be out no later than 1 MAY. Are all decisions sent out in a group or on a rolling basis? Are decisions sent by email or? Does anyone have any experience with prior STEM program they would like to share?

Son is waiting on notification too. Application ended April 15th. 2nd time he applied. Didn't get it the first time. Last year had Boy Scout camp conflict and didn't apply. Hopefully, he will get a slot this year.

Our DD also has not heard back yet. This is her second time to apply. Unfortunately, we live in CA in a very competitve area and may not get picked due to the push for geographic diversity. Her older brother is on the wait list for USNA. So we getting a lot of practice in patience, perserverance, and prayer! Good luck to all whom are waiting for STEM.

I show that last year we heard back of my son's acceptance at least on April 29th - and I recall most people heard around the same time. Seemed to be less of a rolling acceptance than NASS. My son did attend the session last summer for rising 10th graders, so if anyone has any questions we'll be glad to answer them!

Acceptance

All candidates are notified by mail no later than May 1st.

I think it is as a group and by mail only (it was last year).

STEM acceptance letter received today

Hi guys,

Just wanted to let you know that my son received his STEM acceptance letter today April 29, so for those of you still waiting, it shouldn't be long now. As far as geographic diversity, we are in Buffalo, New York. Good luck!

EXcellent! What grade is ur son going into? Had he ever applied to STEM before?

No STEM

Just received letter in mail today....thanks for applying but highly competitive this year... better luck next time.

Same here, I got the "competitive, however" letter. With living in Virginia I fully expected not to get in due to the fact that it is a recruitment tool and selection is highly based on region.

Son received his acceptance letter yesterday (April 30), here in GA. He is going into 11th grade and this was the first time he had applied. We didn't think he would get in because we live in a highly competitive area of GA, and his older brother is a Plebe (almost Plebe No More!!). However, he is completely different from his brother and we are thrilled that he will get to experience it for himself. Older brother will be at USNA at the same time, as a Summer Seminar squad leader, but I don't know if they will see each other at all.
