STEM

Web page has "All applicants will be notified of their status by May 1st".

You might not hear back until after they have completed the class of 2019.

That is possible. In the past, however, STEM notifications were independant of Academy notifications. They did notify on what seemed to be a rolling basis. For that reason, my child is taking " no news" as "bad news."

DS #1 attended last year, and was notified via email toward the end of March. His roommate at STEM had been notified in May.

We haven't heard anything yet - my twin boys are hoping for acceptance to session 1 (rising 9th graders).

@faststreet: Please forgive me for not first saying:
CONGRATS to your DD!!!! I bet STEM at the "Rising 11th grade" level is going to be AWESOME!!!

I am new to this forum but I figured I would report that my son received his acceptance email for the 2nd session.
Congrats to your son! It's an awesome opportunity! Thanks for posting the update. My child is still waiting, but now looking into other programs for high school students for the summer , as well.

Still waiting here too, for session 3. We didn't get the application submitted until March 4. Are notifications by email or snail mail?

Congrats to your DS! My DS is still waiting for the acceptance for the 2nd session. (applied Jan. 5)
Did you and your DS both get the e-mail?
Where are you located in? The student selection is also based on the geography as well according to the USNA webpage.
