STEM

No news as yet for my daughter, but she would be my 3rd to attend Stem and my 4th to Apply for USNA. Remember no news is still good news! Don't give up the ship!!!

Twins DS & DS have not heard yet for Session 1. It looks as though those who have heard (Congratulations!) find out via email on Thursdays.

My daughter is a rising 11th grader and has not heard anything yet. We are assuming she has been rejected based on past experience. As a rising 9th grader, she was accepted and her acceptance email came earlier in April. Last year, as a rising 10th grader, she was rejected and the rejection email came around April 29th. So, we are going with the assumption that the later it gets, the less then chances. :( We are trying to remind her that it is not because she isn't qualified, because by academic standards, she certainly is! And she is more qualified now than she was as an incoming 9th grader. So much does have to do with geographical representation, plus giving others a chance to go who have never been ( although that theory is hard to swallow when so many are acceptances are repeat attendees.) At any rate, good luck to all!

Yes it also has to do with the fact that she had already attended and they want to give someone else a chance. We are still waiting as well. My daughter has never been but she had 3 siblings that have attended USNA and 2 did STEM. Remember no news is still good news..Go Navy!!!

Nothing here either. We were really hoping for good news today as it is my daughter's 16th birthday today! But, I'd rather have no news today then bad news today. That would just put a dent in her celebrations.

Still no news here, but we've resigned ourselves to it being a "no" and are moving on to making other plans. DS isn't upset about it. Figure he'll try again next year.
