Still in the game

My DS has not heard from the Academy as of yet despite the fact his application has been in since July with the exception of first term grades. Is that a good thing? A bad thing? Or does it mean nothing? The waiting is the hardest part.

Hang in there. I know how hard it is to wait. But it is now March, and I would think that lots of offers should be coming out this month. He hasn't received a TWE, so he's still in the game. Good luck.
 
The anticipation is killing me. Just think, this time next month all the waiting will be over and we'll know for certain one way or the other. I've read that most decisions will go out in "early March"... So first 2 weeks of March? So about a week and a half left of that window I guess. Or it could go up to April 15. I text my dad everyday around 1100 about the mail, so far, nothing.

I am dying to hear! I haven't heard anything since it was suggested I retake the cfa... that was in SEPTEMBER :eek:

Relax, folks - your chances are improving all the time.
Right now I would estimate that there is a 40-50 percent chance of remaining candidates being appointed.
No news is potentially good news.
Trust me.

Still in the game, but stop worrying and waiting. DS is looking forward to go to college. ROTC is in place. I hope by the end of March he will have a lot of decisions to make. Everything happens for a reason. Good luck to everyone!

That is easier said than done! ROTC is not in place yet (6 months and counting) so there is no plan b or c at this point....we are still totally up in the air. At least DS finally has some college acceptances :eek: (in the last 2 weeks).
 
Agreed - the waiting game is not a fun one! DS has plan B in place at Texas A&M with Corps of Cadets...well sort of...he's received the offer but won't sign any committments until he hears from USNA. The clock is ticking! :eek:
 
Still waiting for DS…no news is still good news, at least that is the motto for the day. I believe that a lot of candidates will start hearing from SA's between this week and next. Best of luck to all.
 
Same here. Our DD has been accepted to several GREAT schools...but the are just plan B...Waiting...
 
40/50 chance

I like the concept of a 40/50 chance for the remaining candidates -"And may the odds ever be in your favor" Praying for "the objective" and can't wait to read the words "Primary" next to status!
 
Yes.. good luck to us all. The waiting is certainly a killer. there would be nothing i would like better than to meet you all in person on I Day!! My DS has wanted this and only this for the last five years...so for us, the waiting has been forever!
 
I'll take 40-50% at this point. I feel like I'm on "Survivor" and my son has not been voted off the island yet. Another day with no mail.

Got burger king coupons and junk mail today.... not what we were hoping for! My DS has spent the last two summers at USNA with STEM and NASS so yes - the waiting has been years with us as well... :eek:
