Somewhere on the this forum it said anyone who started an application would receive a TWE. Another thing that was said is anyone who started an application, even if they did not finish, is counted in the number of candidates applying. Seems that makes the competition a bit less. Anyway, nothing again today, so STILL IN THE GAME!
 
DS did the math and there is a 2.94% chance of getting something tomorrow considering 34 mail days left until April 15. Sigh.

I completely forgot about that TWE regarding the VP. That one freaked us out too!

DH is checking the mail now....heart pounding.

Waiting for notification one way or the other .... Really hoping for an appt for my son he has dreamed
Of this since he was 5 yrs old...He already has his ROTC scholarship to ERAU,but it's just not the same... Keep ping fingers crossed for all who is in the same boat as me

That's awesome on the ROTC scholarship! DS has been accepted to many colleges, but we are waiting to hear about that scholarship as well. Congrats to your DS!
 
I just received my TWE today. It is dated March 4th. I did not receive a nomination.

VA-10th. DS received TWE today. Now waiting on NROTC, and other 4 year schools to respond. Has received acceptance to VMI and Embry-Riddle(FL) with $12K Scholarship. He will try again next year for class of 2019. Good luck to the rest that are "Still in the Game".

Saw my mailman put a BFE in our box, I ran out so excited... it was a shirt my DS had ordered online. STILL IN THE GAME!:rockon:

So sorry for those that received the TWE today :frown:, guessing TWE's will get out to the West coast by Monday, well at least a 3.13% chance.
 
Got my TWE today as well. Oh well! Still in the game for USMA and if I don't get there I'll be at VMI doing Army ROTC. Good luck to all!

We went from being excited to check the mail, to bored with it and are now terrified!

I hate those little white envelopes!
 
Still waiting in So CA. Feel like an experienced stalker having had practice 3 years ago stalking for DS. DS got the TWE the first time. Went to Greystone and reapplied. Then waited on the NWL . Was ready to go to West Point when on May 15th the email arrived asking if he was still interested in USNA. He replied yes and the rest is history. Now stalking for DD and wondering how this time around will go. Oh, found out DS will be working Plebe Summer for his second block!
 
Your DS/DD could get a phone call

For those of you who received a nomination from a Congressman or Senator, their offices are notified 48 hrs before the BFE will arrive so they can personally deliver the good news (typically by phone). Some do/some don't.

Admissions is now doing housekeeping on the currently existing candidate pool - trimming it to the approximately 2500-3000 candidates for the final appointment pool.
