Hopeful that all who are still waiting will hear something soon; almost certain they (admissions board) were catching up due to numerous "snow days" this year. I have a real good friend whose DD didn't get notified until the very last day (a couple years ago). Anything is possible ... "as long as you are still in the game".

Congratulations NavyDad. I'm glad for your son and family. Enjoy the excitement!

Spelly, you are an encourager. Thank you.

Good luck to all. Looks like we may start to get answers the next few days. I've really enjoyed this group. You've all helped us tremendously.

Good luck gang!

TN Dad

New to this forum, have been following for a couple weeks now. Stay positive, appointments are going out. DS received phone call from Louisiana MOC Senator last Friday delivering the great news of his appointment opportunity. Have not yet seen the BFE yet, however, still on cloud 9! MOC even put an article in local hometown newspaper. Plebe summer, here we come!

YAY!!!!! Thanks for sharing the GREAT news, rejoicing with you RetNavyDad and welcome to our little neurotic family. Hopefully, this is the start of something great for those left waiting... bring on those BFE's!

yes, congrats to those of you who have received good news! Sure hope to be able to post that result for my DS as well, but for today, no news again here in NJ.

Definitely NAPS. You would have a 99% guarantee of being a Plebe the following year. Very few come off the wait list and there is no guarantee you would be accepted next year if they don't pick you.

Still in the game in Northern Virginia. Congrats RetNavyDad:thumb: Your news is encouraging!

Still in the game in So CA. DD is working on her Plan B application, Greystone Prep at Schreiner University. Wish she could attend Greystone's candidate weekend tomorrow, but like many other high schoolers DD has a lot of activities/studies to attend to, and then there's the band competition in San Francisco next week... I'm glad our DDs and DSs are still busy with school as they don't have a lot of time to spend worrying about the potential TWEs that might be hitting the mailboxes soon. Glad that some are still receiving BFEs. Congratulations to those who have received their appointments!! It is really an exciting time for you!!

Again, another walk back from the mailbox....nada, nil, zilch....it's getting difficult to imagine a BFE is forthcoming.....ggrrrrr

"Still in the Game" here in MA today.. For all those still in the game, 12 days to go before we can all breathe again.. 8 MAIL DAYS LEFT!!! I believe there will be a flood of mail the next few days and there will be alot of emotions for all us. I wanted to say THANK you to all who have stayed and supported us right down to these last few weeks.. It hasn't been any easier knowing the April 15th deadline is right around the corner..However, the forum has been a huge help..
I also wanted to CONGRATULATE all the DS/DD's for taking on this incredible journey as it exhemplifies the maturiy level of everyone of you.. Despite the outcome, this is an accomplishment in itself! Of note, USNA had over 18,000 applicants this year, and 4,000 received nominations..I know I am very proud of each and every DS/DD and their family for supporting them.. Good luck to everyone, it will all be over soon. Will let you know when the USNA mail arrives, hopefully not in the mailbox!!

OOPSS.. Forgot to ask... For those of you who HAVE received the BFE, could you please tell me what the date is to accept an appointment to USNA? I have read on a few different threads of "appointees' who are planning to visit some colleges (ROTC programs) and also plan to attend USNA for a CWV. I am just wondering what the deadline is to accept an appointment? Just curious as I think this may be a factor to the timeline of those who are "still in the game"
