Still on the island as of yesterday afternoon. Today is Thursday, and my stomach is in knots for my DD, since her friend received her conditional LOA last Friday here Oklahoma. DD is losing hope, but I try to remind her that she's still "in it" until she's not..... In any case, mail comes after noon or so, and DD gets home from school around 3:30, so this rollercoaster continues..... Hopefully many DD's and DS's will received great news today and tomorrow!!!

Here's a thought for the day:
The highest reward for a person's toil is not what they get for it, but what they become by it. - John Ruskin

DS was informed by his BGO yesterday that he's been put on the wait list for USNA and should get a letter about that in next week or so that will come in a TWE.

So, still on the island as well and there is hope until we get that final notice.

Nothing here in central Massachusetts.

Going to the mailbox is the scariest/worst time of the day. On a good note, DS received a very nice scholarship package from one of his back up plans. At this point, any and all good news in the mailbox is happily accepted…..even if it's not from USNA. ;)

Sorry I hit send twice!!

DS received an email from his RD today letting him know that his name has been placed on the wait list for the USNA and a letter would be mailed out tomorrow. Like MJP, still on the island and hoping for the best.

Went to mailbox and heart skipped a beat. There was a tan BFE, but it ended up being DS's acceptance packet from Emory. Miraculously, still here.

I received my second TWE today. Dated March 30th. My position for USNA is now defined but I am not defeated. I wish good things for all.
Ohio2019, I'm so sorry you received your second TWE today. I read your post and I just wanted to reach out as a mom of a midshipman who has walked down the TWE pathway a few years ago, that you a commendable person for giving this USNA appointment process a second try. Each time I read another candidate has received a TWE, my heart breaks for all of you! Be proud of all the work you have accomplished. If you are contemplating a third try, know that others have achieved their appointment by doing just that. My son's friend from his prep/university, after his second TWE, received his appointment after his third attempt and is now a midshipman 2/C. I am glad you are not defeated and I wish you the best as you move forward to your Plan B.

DS still has his head above water here in the parched state of CA. However, I think DS' battleship is going to sink soon.
