Still Waiting in TN

Good Morning! I have a DS 2020 grad and my younger applying for second time. We haven't received a no letter or a yes phone call. we are still waiting in limbo. My older got called on May 13th his year. trying to stay positive. What is a letter of assurance (LOA) and is it direct appointment if my younger went to Univ of TN at Knox for a year? If not, then what would I put on thread? Thank you. USAFA has been an incredible blessing to our family and we would be honored to send our younger.

A direct appointment is going to USAFA straight from HS. If you go to college for a year you would be considered a re-applicant. A LOA is a letter given of a guaranteed appointment if all boxes they require get checked.

For the "Those of Us Still Waiting Thread", your younger DS would be a college re-applicant. No TWE is a good sign, I hope he gets in for CO 2024.

CONGRATS on your older DS being a 2020 grad! They did a nice job for commencement given the circumstances, but it must have been difficult to not be there in person.
