still waiting

I don't blame you. As AWFUL as the TWE day was---there is some relief to being able to focus 100% on Plan B. I have been keeping my eye out on your news because I'm a Tar Heel!!! I wish you the BEST and I look forward to reading what happens for your DS.
As soon as we know I'll post just to share with you. DS not home now, when he gets home I'll see if he can find something out. My daughter will graduate from UNC on Mother's Day! My DS has spent a lot of time there too but decided he wanted to go some place different than her, he wants to find his fit or it find him. I know your DS and all that made it so close will do great things.

When I graduated from Chapel Hill, it also fell on Mother's Day…but it was 1987! :) Great memories! Congrats to your daughter and thank you for keeping us all updated on your DS!

okay Tar Heel..does your DS know anything yet? Pulling for him for good news.
No, he's not home yet, visiting friend that just got out of the hospital. At this point just ready to know. Thanks to everyone for the support for my DS. This what I miss since my husband retired four years ago, everyone is family in the military!

USNA has indicated that, as they move toward a paperless system, they will be providing more information on admissions status to candidates on the CIS portal. This is a very recent development.

So sorry. I know it must be crushing to make it this far then get the rejection. As others have said, you must be pretty incredible to make it so far into the process. Best of luck.

DS received an email from the admissions office yesterday PM telling him he is waitlisted for NAPS. Wait continues. Anybody knows how big is the wait list for NAPS and what are his chances?

Wait listed for naps as well. On the portal there is a link to and FAQ document that says it is typically between 70 and 120. It also says they may or may not take anyone depending on what those offered NAPS do.

If you are wait listed for NAPs and don't make it in this year AND you plan to reapply: strengthen your academics. This is a pretty good indicator that you need stronger academics to compete. Take plebe year classes at Plan B and do whatever it takes to do extremely well.

Good luck!
