Hold Status here! I am also still waiting for an answer from USNA. The wait is unbearable.
Hold Status for my son who is anxiously waiting while starting his senior year lacrosse season. The wait is hard. He is also going to do his second visit, AKA the official overnight, with the team in early March.
He is from Maryland and received 3 nominations (one rescinded for others)
He hopes to play lacrosse at USMMA while still hitting the gym and pursuing his personal training certificate which he is in the process of getting.
I hope the wait is over soon for him. As much as we say enjoy your senior year.... It will be much better enjoyed when your future is a little more clear..

hold status... spoke to my admissions officer today and he said about 70% of applicants are still on hold. im from maryland too.

would be excited for an nmmi offer, i am a minority if that would help
Better to wait together. There are others here who know what you are going through. I know when we were waiting it seemed to make it worse when others would tell me, "Oh I know how you feel. My son/daughter has been waiting SIX WEEKS to hear back from State U. And he/she spent a whole day writing the required application essay." I would just smile and nod and wish them luck, knowing they had absolutely no idea what my kids had been going through for an entire year. I found this forum 10 years ago and regained my sanity, well somewhat at least. Now I am waiting for my USMMA DD to return from sea year and for my Navy pilot DS to return from his deployment. I have gotten better at waiting over the years, but it is never easy. Stay positive and you will get through this character building marathon.

The wait is brutal. It would be nice to get excited about Plan B. Some say it could take up to May or June to hear. Forget about enjoying senior year, they are too stressed to enjoy it with all the waiting. Do not want a spot as their Plan B. I guess not understanding the whole process and its almost like a numbers game to some extent.
The interesting thing is that our DS status still shows App on File even though he received the call from his MOC on Monday and received the Fedex package with congrats letter yesterday ... the letter included in the Fedex mentions that the portal will update after a couple of days of letter receipt. His status never showed 'Hold'.

Those of you who are on “hold” status, have your 7th semester grades been processed?I’m still on “app on file” and believe this is because my senior grades haven’t been processed yet. I was probably going to reach out to admissions tomorrow to verify, but just wanted to see if anyone else had this problem.

Just wanted to make sure that those who still show 'App on File' and not 'Hold' that there's still opportunity and 'Hold' status is not required in order to receive an appointment offer. Best wishes to all still waiting!

Waaaay back in my day, when things were done via snail mail (although the term hadn't been coined yet) I received a letter telling me that I was an early alternate and "likely" to end up with an appointment. Flash forward a couple of weeks, and I get a letter inviting me to Orientation, something reserved for those with appointments at the time. I was a bit confused, at least until a week later when I received another letter letting me know that I did, in fact, receive an appointment. I canceled Plan B (Civil engineering at South Dakota School of Mines) and began the adventure. I am not sure if it is any easier now with "instant" communication. Having two grown kids of my own (who did not follow in my footsteps) that have been through college and all, I understand the anxiety, and some of the frustration. It is all part of the process. Remember, you ARE dealing with the government. . . . .
Parent of sponsored prep student at NMMI. DS is waiting for appointment - have no idea what his portal status says and not sure it is relevant as the preps had a little bit of a different process this year.
As far as I know, none of the USMMA preps have received their appointments. USMA and USAFA preps have appts in hand. USNA and USMMA are still waiting.
