Study aids

Absolutely. Use any additional study aids you find helpful. I would recommend that plebes ask around and find what has been found useful for a particular teacher in the past.

Personally I used a lot of my high school notes for calculus and physics as I had what I would consider to be strong teachers for those subjects in HS.

My ds saved all his calc and physics from HS. We sent them out when he felt he needed them. There are plenty of people who will help if you just ask; notes, tutors, upperclassman. Some teachers at KP will want calc or physics done their way, so be flexible and use all your resources. If you don't know something ASK! Don't wait, don't wait, don't wait. :thumb:

Thanks. I have sent him Calculus and Physics for Dummies and some study charts.

Kahn Academy offers great online tutoring :thumb:

Developing time management skills is CRITICAL to succeed (survive?) therefore, falling behind academics, which are the FIRST priority, should be avoided at all cost.
With crammed academic and regimental calendars, there is little room for second chances

check with team/squad leaders for study materials as well. i know i have a couple "dummies" books that are ripe for giving away to some lucky P/C:biggrin:

Since they are limited as to what websites to visit, is this one available for their computers? I know that they cannot access their regular email address such as hotmail or gmail. Just wondering before I send him the link.

1. go to http://www.wolframalpha.com/
2. enter "Calculus & Analysis" or "Physics"
3. get cool stuff.
4. can download pdfs too!

WolframAlpha's long-term goal is to make all systematic knowledge immediately computable and accessible to everyone. They aim to collect and curate all objective data; implement every known model, method, and algorithm; and make it possible to compute whatever can be computed about anything. Their goal is to build on the achievements of science and other systematizations of knowledge to provide a single source that can be relied on by everyone for definitive answers to factual queries.

You can cut and paste this to your D/S D/D.

Caveat emptor!

They have the best study aides available....Company Academic Officers. If your student gets into trouble go see the CAO for his/her company.

The CAO's can tutor; arrange for a tutor; set up special tutor sessions; advise about where help can be found...basically anything that the student needs help with!:thumb::thumb::thumb:
