Hello,

I just got my February ACT scores back and saw some improvement in two sections. However, my subscore in one of the sections dropped a point so what would've been a 32.5 composite (rounded up to 33) ended up being a 32.25 (rounded down to a 32). I know USMA superscores, and if I put together all my best tests I'll end up 35/33/32/30. I'm happy with these scores and assuming my writing score comes back satisfactory I probably won't take the test again.

These may be stupid questions but I haven't been able to find it elsewhere. If I want to send these scores in to be official in my profile will I just have to send both score reports? Will they automatically superscore it if I send multiple reports in? If I want to have my guidance counselor send the scores to my MOC for nominations (to avoid doling out $28 for every school and office) will the MOC superscore as well? Should I also send my SAT to USMA (1400) even if it converts to a lower ACT?

Thank you! Beat Navy.

Your MOCs will ask for a resume. You will put your scores on this in the superscored form so that your MOC’s board members don’t have to do any of that work.

You will have to send both official test scores to your MOC as well, though, to prove the scores on the resume are correct.

You have to send West Point your ACT scores through the website using the code. Their system will automatically superscore it. You will have to send both reports.

P.s.,

There’s no such thing as a stupid question.

(Except “will Navy football beat Army in 2018.” Clear answer is hell no).

Thanks. That answers all my questions.

Only 289 and a butt days until Army beats the heck out of Navy. :)

Some MOCs require scores to be sent to them directly as well, may have a 'college code' for direct score submission to their office [$] or some may accept scores shown on your official HS transcript submitted by your counselor [free.] Most wont accept only scores sent on your own.

Echoing Midwest Dad. I think it all depends on what your particular MOCs require for their applications. On my Congresswoman's website it states that she does superscore SATs/ACTs and that she requires all attempts of standardized tests to be sent to her office.

Prospective2019,

Comparatively, those are VERY GOOD scores. Furthermore, as an applicant for the class of 2023, you’ll have plenty of time to take the ACT as many times as possible. I only stopped taking the SAT when my scores began to plateau. I remember almost not taking the SAT in June last year thinking that there was no way I could improve my superscore. In the end, that June SAT ended up having my highest math score.

Sincerely,
