It is pretty vague, but here's how my class has interpreted the pictures in the manual (starting on Page 84).

I started to write a description but it was easier to make these pictures

Imagine that you take the first picture and follow what it says on Page 84 to roll it up (only the mark would be down, not up).
When you're done, you should be able to see half the laundry mark on each side of the fold.
