Suggestions For New Name For Washington NFL Football Team?

I've got some:

"Washington Lobbyists"

Team mascot is a guy in a suit with a briefcase filled with cash (for bribes, natch.)

"Washington Monuments"

Team mascot is guy in an Abe Lincoln outfit, in a sitting position, of course.

"Washington Supremes"

Team mascot is dressed as a Supreme Court judge, robes & all.

"Washington G-Men"

Team mascot is J. Edgar Hoover, with a Tommy gun. Maybe a dress on occasion.

"Washington Assassins"

Team mascots are dressed like John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, etc.

More serious suggestions:

Washington Freemen
Washington Minutemen
Washington Federals
Washington Leatherheads
Washington Liberators
Washington Monitors

Rumor mil says red-something, such as red-tails, red-hawks, etc. Redhawks would fit in with the bird theme around here with Ravens, Orioles, etc.

My offering is Washington Swamp Rats.
 
I like Red Wolves but it looks like it isn’t in the running.

Snyder is the most terrible owner in all of professional sports so he will surely screw this up.

Put a K on the helmet for K Street.

In keeping with their paltry record in the past two decades and the current protest trend, the monuments would surely be toppled.

They would be split down the middle. Offense and defense and not ideologically.

Team mascot is J. Edgar Hoover, with a Tommy gun. Maybe a dress on occasion.
Or a more recent disgraced director.

"Washington Assassins"
Team mascots are dressed like John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, etc.

I'm just trying to imagine what the mascot for half of these team names would even look like.

Ooh like the linkage! A bit of counter-balance to the history of being the nation’s capital’s team and the last in the NFL to integrate the playing roster.
 
Given the tone-deafness of the ownership group, I am kind of expecting something like ******* or ************ or even *************-*****************************.

(Before anyone gets upset, those are actually * and I didn't even count the letters.)
 
I’ll say it again, Snyder is the worst owner in all of professional sports.

The only constant in the last two decades of losing is Daniel Snyder.
 
I’m dating myself but how about the “Hogs” or the “Rigginskins” (ha,ha) as a tribute to either the hard-nosed team or running back, John Riggins. If more nostalgia is needed, and to bring back the ghost of winning ways, have the team play in old RFK stadium.
