Ah yes, senior year is winding down and graduation for the class of 2020 is 102 days away (my HS graduation anyway)
So, the conversation with my dad came up, along the lines of "So, are you going to get a full time job this summer? You could work for the census and make good money."
It sounded like a good idea, but my response was "Do I have to stay in-state?" and of course, he replied "You're 18, you can go wherever you want, dude."
OK boomer.
It got me thinking though, maybe I should venture out on my own for the summer and find some way to make some good money. (Fraternities, should I choose to rush, are expensive) Even if I don't save as much money as I want, I can still have a blast working somewhere cool.
So now, I'm like: Hmm... maybe I should go to New England (anywhere in that area) and find a job there. I talked to my friend today and he says he's more than willing to come with me. If I get another friend or two our rent won't be AS bad... (key word AS)
Any recommendations? I have little to no idea where to start my job search for "Guy with high school diploma looking to get out of the house for the summer"
Has anyone done anything similar? All opinions are welcome
