I found this on the CGA site and am beyond excited for what the cadets get to experience this summer. Thought I'd share, so those with appointments, and those who will surely get the BFE soon, can be excited too!

This news release shows different schedule from that on USCGA website. USCGA website has Eagle in Tampa July 10 and does not list Key West. Does anyone know which dates are correct? I suspect it is the link you listed as it is more current...

I believe some changes were made to participate in the Vela Sud America (tall ships festival) schedule of events.

For 2014 parents, the swab cruises don't begin until 23 July, where Phase 1 (Alfa/Bravo/Charlie) will embark in Miami and sail to Savannah, GA.

Phase 2 (Delta/Echo/Foxtrot) will embark in Savannah on 30 July and sail to Wilmington, NC.

Phase 3 (Golf/Hotel) will embark in Wilmington on 6 August and sail to New London, arriving at Ft Trumbull on 13 August.

Last year Hotel Company was Phase 1. Swabs who play football tend not to be on Phase 3, as their summer practice could overlap. Be careful not to book a visit too early if you plan to chase the Eagle. The Swabs will not know when their company is headed out until several weeks into their training.

Not true, I was in Bravo Company last year during swab summer and Alfa/Bravo/Charlie was on Phase 1. It's possible that swabs from Hotel went on Phase 1 but I know Golf and Hotel went on phase 3 because I was with my cadre in the wardroom when they returned the last week.

My apologies, I was incorrect. Alfa/Bravo/Charlie were phase 1.

The dates in question are after the Tall Ship Festival. Both schedules list Corpus Christi on July 2-5. Tampa is listed on USCGA website for July 10 and Key West added on CG press release for July 16. Is Eagle skipping Tampa and going to Key West instead?

Eagle Coming to Tampa July 10

I called Eagle phone number posted on Facebook. The schedule posted on USCGA website is correct. Eagle will me coming to Tampa on July 10 and will not be going to Key West.
