Hi all!
I'm wondering what summer programs I should participate in this summer that may look good on my application? I'm currently a Junior and have applied to NASS (currently waiting for a response). I'm also from California and am currently in the process of applying to Girls State. Thanks!

Those are both good options. Other than that, I would do things that you love that also help the application. Community service, job, sports. Whatever it is that you enjoy doing can add to your resume.

Good luck!

Honestly, just do stuff you like so the summer won't be quite as hectic as the school year. I'm applying to Girls State and NASS and SLE, but also to things like journalism conferences, since journalism is also really important to me and something I enjoy.

Well OFFICIALLY Girls' State will get you more points for your Whole Candidate Score (WCS) than will NASS. But, if you can do both, go for it. I never did either, so I have limited input. All I know is that NASS is really a marketing tool and is NOT like the real Plebe summer. Girls' State is good for leadership roles.

Thank you for the input everyone!
Has anyone gone to Girl States and have any advice?
