It's summer training cruise time at the Maritime Academies and Cadets from NY, Maine and California are underway enroute to Europe or the Far East. good luck and may you have fair winds and following seas
Meanwhile the Cadets aboard "The State of Maine" departed May 4th for their summer sea term and are currently off the Azores

And the Cadets of the California Maritime Academy abard the TS Golden Bear are getting ready to pull into Pago Pago for their first port call of the 2011 training Cruise
"The Empire State VI, SUNY Maritime College’s training ship departed today on schedule on its annual training cruise to Europe. Students will complete on-board training that will qualify them for US Coast Guard issued Deck and Engine licenses. More than 400 students, as well as over 100 faculty, staff and crew are on-board. The ship is scheduled to return to the SUNY Maritime College Pier on August 6, 2011."
