Summer Seminar 2018

DS just received email - he is waitlisted. Is it at all possible to request CVW instead? Does anyone have any advice or experience with this?
 
I was declined yesterday. It's really disappointing that that was the outcome but it definitely serves as motivation to do better. It looks like a really great experience.
 
DD had LOA and did not get CVW. She requested a CVW through her BGO and got one.

You can request CVW through your CGO/AO, especially if you show potential as a junior or during early months as a senior. They WILL try to offer it to you if you have received an offer of appointment in your senior year and has not already done it.

Does anyone know how we access the CIS system if we just got an email for the summer seminar confirming acceptance?

You can’t access the CIS system until you get the E candidate email which contains login information and other information useful to applying. I got that email around May last year.

Also, is it frowned upon to attend NASS and then apply to USMA instead of USNA? I wanted to attend SLE but was rejected.

There is absolutely no issue with applying to USMA after attending NASS. Who knows, USNA may become your new first choice after NASS... ;)
