Summer Seminar 2022

My DD also received a decision in her portal but not by email. She applied for in person only and her decision says she is accepted to the virtual session which she did not want to do. Did anyone else get put in one they did not apply for?

I hope she can get it changed to in person.

My daughter just checked her portal and she also requested in person and was offered virtual.

I applied exclusively for in person, got virtual. It was enormously upsetting to see congratulations! at the the top of the decision just to be told that I could sit at my computer during the summer. I will send an email, but seeing as this is situation for many others, I expect it to fall on deaf ears.

Hey guys,

I did the virtual last year, asked great questions, learned a ton, got an award/giftcard, and it was all paid for by AOG. The cadets run it extremely well, it is by no means a negative. Congrats to everyone!:wiggle: ;) Treat EVERYTHING as an interview, I think my performance at SS helped a lot with my actual app (based on absolutely no inside knowledge), although not an indication whatsoever.

My DD would have selected either SS offered but is attending NASS the week of virtual so the in person week would be the only one that would work, so it is a bit disappointing.

How does the virtual program work?

DS in the same boat. Virtual conflicts with USNA summer seminar.

DS also has SS scheduling conflict. He is going to ask USNA if he could change from session #2 to #1. He is assigned to the in-person session. Fingers crossed.

Son will be attending the summer seminar at the Air Force Academy. I’m looking for options to get him from DIA to the academy, and back.
If anyone has any shuttles or similar services they can recommend it would be appreciated.
Thanks

If USNA won't change, would you like to switch to virtual? I'm doing JCLC and overlaps with the virtual session.

He would like to experience the seminars in person. If rescheduling is not possible, he will have a decision to make on which one he would attend and explore other campus visitation opportunities for the other.
