Summer Seminar Acceptance!!

I applied the day it opened... have not heard anything today. Should I be worried? I was accepted to USMA SLS 2 weeks after I applied (guess the Air Force process is different)

dont worry

don't sweat it; i applied mid December last year and did not hear until mid February, right around Valentines Day. It was a great time and any summer seminar you get accepted to, I recommend going to; it gives a realistic picture of what academy life may be like. ( at least for doolie for a day:thumb:)

Does anyone know how important the class ranks are for summer seminar? My ALO said that they barley look at extra curriculars, is this true?

I've heard that academics are the majority of their decision but that does not mean that extracurriculars are looked over completely.

Talked to my ALO today and he said my application was very strong and he would be sending his recomendation shortly. No word about acceptance or denial yet. I'm sending my USMA SLS form tomorrow so it would have been nice to know whether or not I was in.

Just saw that i got accepted today for the seminar! also got accepted to the USMA SLS. Wondering if anybody else is planning on going to both?

Woo!Just got my acceptance email:) I got into West Point SLS too so I'm still deciding on USAFA SS

Yea, I did't get an acceptance yet either. Just like what I read it is probably because of my grades which are average but my extracuricular is phenomenal. I hope to see an acceptace soon though.

waiting

Applied Jan 1 to AF when it opened, still waiting, felt like I had a very strong app, we'll see.....

I got accepted to USMA SLS. If I get into the SS I will go to both.

applied dec 26th to usafa and usma and got into usma in like a week and then got accepted today for usafa

I signed up for Session "A" (June 2-6) to avoid any possible conflicts with Buckeye Boys' State.

We're in Ohio too! Son went to NASS last year then one day later went to Boys State--he had an amazing time (he really thought he'd hate it, but after 2 days, he was having a blast--JUST BRING A FAN!)

Son's Girl Friend got her acceptance to SS yesterday too! She accepted session 1. She'll have to miss her last week of school, but will still be able to make son's graduation on May 29th, so it all works out.

Listed on the application status page is the name of a Counselor and a Local Liaison Officer. What is the difference between the Local Liaison Officer and your ALO?

Thanks.

One must contact AFA to update grades or scores, however one can update other areas. If one updates the large free form area for extracurriculars and leadership info would that have any effect on when it was submitted or considered? I would hate to make changes adding anything important or correcting minor grammar issue if it puts it back in the queue somehow.

My son got his acceptance email on 2/1 also. He selected Session B. He did his application in late December. We're all very excited. My husband and I are both ex-AF enlisted (we didn't retire).
