Summer Seminar Acceptance!!

i got my acceptance yesterday. very excited but i didnt pick a session yet

Listed on the application status page is the name of a Counselor and a Local Liaison Officer. What is the difference between the Local Liaison Officer and your ALO?

Thanks.

They are the same person.

I'm planning on SLS week one and SS week two also!!! hope to see you there!

I attended SS two years ago, but never attended SLS, or even been to WP. It'd be interesting to hear from you guys the differences you guys felt from attending both of them.

Seems the acceptances have slowed down...assuming a first wave came through. Has anyone received any today? Earlier, someone was posting number of spots still not "reserved", any update on that for those still waiting and hoping to hear? Thanks

I did not notice any new acceptance posts yesterday either, just folks who received them 2/1 but had just checked.

We were also curious about the remaining slots, but didn't want ask and get over anxious.

Slots currently remaining by session:

A: 265
B: 268
C: 226

I imagine they won't send out more acceptances until they have a better idea of how many will accept/not accept from 1st round. The cutoff date for acceptance (first round) is Feb 15.

Still Waiting

I'm still waiting right now to get a reply :frown: When will i find out for sure if i get in to the Summer Seminar?

Hi all,

Just so you know, the application for Summer Seminar doesn't even close until Feb. 28th. Don't be worried if you don't get one for the next few weeks they still have more to give. Welcome to the official Academy application process: waiting in anticipation, celebrating with others victories and waiting for your own.

Later,

Brian

Hey guys,

I'm going USMA session 5/29-6/4
and am likely to go USAFA Session B if I can work out transport!

Best of luck and hope to see you there!
Matthew

Congratulations to everyone who has gotten in so far! I really hope I get in so I can join with everyone going!

I'm in the same boat, still haven't heard anything back. I think my application is fairly strong, but it's still early. Good luck to everyone that's still trying, and congratulations to everyone already accepted.

My son has a strong resume. He is a Sea Cadet and is about to get his pilot's license. He also has strong PSAT scores and a good GPA. He forgot to put in the AP and honors classes he is taking. Should he contact the counselor which was assigned to him according to the status posting??

Patking, if he feels strongly about it, go for it.

To everyone, don't worry if you don't hear back right away. Admissions is only a bit busy this time of year.

It does not seem like there have been many offers since that first wave 2/1.

Anyone receive an AFA summer seminar offer after that?

So I guess we wait & see! :)

I would imagine the 2nd round picks would hear sometime around this date... I am an applicant too though, so I am just inferring here.

Good luck to everybody though!

The wait is killing me. I can't even imagine how difficult the wait for an appointment will be--hook me up to a slow drip now!

:yikes:
