Summer Seminar and Applications

My son attended the Summer Seminar at the Air Force Academy last year does anyone if this helps in the application process and to what extent?

Yes, I've been told that attending SS does help, but to a very small extent. It demonstrates that the candidate has shown interest, but is not deciding factors for appointment. I attended SS two years ago, but there are many who attended and did not get appointments and many who did not attend and get appointments. They keep in mind that not everyone has the resources to attend SS, so they cannot put people that didn't attend at a disadvantage for appointment.
