Summer Seminar Essay Question

In the application for Summer Seminar it says that there is a maximum word count of 2000 for the essay. My essay only has about 600 words but I believe it is very strong and to the point. Should your essay be about 2000 words or is it ok not to go that long?
 
Suggest you bring it to school and ask a teacher to weigh in.
 
I think the character count is 2000, which would be around 400 words. I'd double check that if I was you. I'd be surprised if the word count was that long. Good luck!

Yup you're right. Thank you so much you saved me!!!
 
Better to deliver 600 words that are well crafted, genuine and compelling, than 2000 words that were stretched to reach the maximum. Say what you need to say -- nothing more, nothing less.
 
I think I have read here spaces count as part of character count. Operative word is “think.” Let’s hope someone knows for sure.
