One piece of advice- DON'T do a spirit mission. I have a story that goes along with that. Just believe me when I say there are 4 guys who went to the seminar that won't be joining me on June 25. Anyone who was in A flight during session B last year knows what I'm talking about.

more advice?

hey! getting excited..and nervous - for session c.

so are we allowed to wear jeans? or do all of our pants have to be tan? how big of a bag do you think we should bring? i really dont want to have to check luggage..

also - anyone know what the bathrooms and showers are like? are the showers communal like at west point?

do they actually give you time to get ready in the morning/night or is everything extremely fast paced?

thanks for all the tips and advice so far, it has been extremely helpful!!

one more day session C!

if any of you see this before monday morning, send me a private message and i'll give you my cell phone number. who knows, maybe we could run into other people from this forum in airports or before registration.
i'm slightly beyond ecstatic, but i won't check this again until late tonight (sunday) because i'm going flying this afternoon. i can't wait for this week! :shake::yllol::shake::yllol:

jomarie12: We are only allowed to wear tan pants. I'd recommend at least two pairs, because they get muddy if you have an academic seminar that has you out on the parade field (ie rockets). I only brought two pairs, and I was fine. As far as bag size, I didn't need to check a bag on the way to Colorado. I packed an empty duffel bag and used that to carry home all the issued stuff on the way back. I recommend not checking anything if you don't have to. You can always *check* bags at the gate for free. Then you avoid the fees for checked baggage. :thumb:

There is a girl's only section of the dorms for summer seminar, and beyond that point all bathrooms (whether Ladies or Mens) become Girls bathrooms. The official *Girls* bathrooms have multiple shower stalls. In each stall, there is a curtained off *changing* area, separated from the shower area by another curtain. The *Mens* bathrooms I saw were open showers.

We actually had some time in the morning and at night to get ready. I think we had about 30 minutes after morning pt to get ready. At night, we had about 40 minutes before room check, but we didn't have to actually sleep at any specific time.

Have a great time!

well session C, it's finally our day. i'm not sure if anybody joining me will see this, but i'm boarding my plane out of nashville international into denver right now. i wish you all safe travels, and look forward to seeing you in CO Springs.

Best week ever, I couldn't've had a better time anywhere else. I seriously can't wait for I-Day so we can get started as the 2014 class of cadets. only 367 more days!

Cool your jets, take it out of burner for a second, breathe, it will be ok... but you can wait for I-day and you will. Trust me, I was about the exact same way, don't get me wrong, i'm excited to go, but i'd love a little more time with friends and family.

Yeah, I know. That is great advice... But while I'm stuck at home alone until my friends all get back in town next week, I'm going to stay hyped about USAFA. Going from there having great friends at every second (even though i had just met them) and never a boring moment, to being home alone (on my birthday by the way) with nothing to do is a bit of a downer. I've caught myself plenty of times since Friday wishing for nothing more than to be back in C Springs, but I plan on enjoying the next year as well.
But like I said, it was an amazing week; I don't see the hype level decreasing anytime soon :shake:
