I'm applying to the USMA, USNA and USAFA's summer seminars, and was just wondering if I could cancel one or the other should get accepted into more than one. All three take place at around the same time and I don't think it's practical to to go to more than two. Thanks

If you are selected for more than one, you can always decline.

FYI...I've had a student go to Girls State, then to USMA/SLE, and then to USNA/SS.

She had a busy summer!

She's in her second year at West Point.

You can decline and it won’t hurt your chances of eventual appointment. You can also request to move assigned dates to accommodate other SAs’ summer programs. DD was accepted to all three DOD SA summer programs, requested a couple switches and ended up with consecutive weeks. It was exhausting, but she loved it and it helped focus her preferences and elevate her commitment.

You can also request to change a session, should there be a conflict. No guarantees of course, but it’s not an uncommon conflict. There are people who do all three. Or AIM.
