Hey guys,

I recently finished my sophomore year of highschool and I was wondering if there was anything that needs to be done in the summer before junior year. When do you apply for the summer seminar? Should I get in touch with my ALO? Thanks!

Study, study, study for the PSAT/SAT/ACT. The scores you use for the Summer Seminar application will most likely come from the October PSAT/fall SAT/or January SAT so prepare for that. Continue to excel in your academics, continue to play sports, and continue to hold leadership positions. Summer Seminar applications came out on Dec. 1 (if I remember correctly) for my class (2015). Make sure you get those filled out ASAP.

Plus, I would suggest you start looking for a job, summer volunteering opportunities, or do something you enjoy to fill up your time! If you haven't done so already, just start getting involved in stuff.
