Superintendent's Pin

IIRC - at USNA, I believe you need a 3.4, an A in military, no conduct offenses, and at least a B in PE and PRT.

I also believe some mids don’t wear their pins.

Per the 2022-2023 course of instruction book, cadets in the top third of their class year by semester MPA will be on the Commandant’s list. DS got an MPA of 3.61 and qualified.
This is right. In my experience, the cut is around 3.3 for MPA.

From the Curriculum Handbook: "Commandant’s List. Cadets in the top third of their class year by semester MPA will be on the Commandant’s list. These cadets are authorized to wear the Commandant’s pin on their uniform for the next semester. "

When do these grades come out and where does one look to find them?

DS got his grades and GPA/MPA off of blackboard. Not sure where PEA was but his wouldn't have changed since he had his PE class earlier in the semester.

Just a reminder while it’s fun for the parents for the kids to achieve these pins don’t stress your cadet out over it. Mine rolls her eyes at me if I ask her about it. She’s doing well but the pins really don’t matter to her.
That is why I am asking this question on a forum rather than my cadet. I will not be discussing with the cadet at all unless they bring it up. I personally think it will be a little lift for the next semester though.

So just to clarify since this conversation has gone south. No one thinks that they will be super special if they get a pin. No one is stressing their cadet to get pins. I simply wanted to understand the qualifications on this small recognition item. I didn't want to stress or fuss with my cadet so I thought adults on the forum could easily fill me in. Thank you to those who clarified. All set.
