superscore sat?

What does "superscore" SAT mean, per se?

Taking the best section score (reading math) from all of your tests. If you scored a 600M 650V and then a 650 M 630V, you would have 650M and 650V as your superscore.

I can't talk for Navy, but the Army asks for the best score from each of your sections (we used ACT, but the same applies for SAT), as opposed to your composite score. We sent in the supporting documentation.

According to the NROTC site, they take the best scores from two different tests to get the best combo for the applicant. USNA has the same policy.

Thanks! I couldn't find that info... I think I've scrolled through too many sites and everything became a blur!
