What does it mean to be "shark tanked" by the Cadre?
This is still correct! Officially, the shark tank is now known as "The North End of the Wardroom," but... the term has continued to pass down. As @trackandfield08 alluded to, the shark tank is generally the area, not any one specific action. All that really happens there is it gets really loud because there's a traffic jam, lots of cadre to yell, and tons of swabs to greet them. Can you provide a little more context? Things may have changed over the years, but we used to refer to the area outside the Cadet Wardroom when entering from the “New Quad” as the shark tank. When swabs transited from the quad following formation to the Wardroom, they had to go through the shark tank where, more often than not, cadre would be waiting to make sure they were doing as they were supposed to. It was easy to get called out for anything because the cadre could see everyone going through, a high pressure situation but nothing crazy.
Of course, that could be some new lingo for being corrected by more than one of the cadre at the same time.
