We live a plane ride away and our first visit was a Labor Day followed by parents week. We got to FaceTime during the mystic flag ceremony and during stops while on the Eagle. For us that worked out perfectly bc we couldn’t have flown in for 3 different things and we got a lot whole weekends of time rather than a few hours. And after the mystic flag ceremony he got to do something more social with the other swabs (who at that point he only knew by last name and little else about
