Swim Test

How many chances to they get to pass the swim test? What happens if they do not pass during indoc? What do they have to do in the swim test?
 
Swimming

My son just finished his first year that there was a student from another country that was in his swimming class. Kid was scared of the water and would splash and not make any forward progress.

Teacher thought it would help him to feel better about the water and had him jump from diving board. My son said they waited a long time and finally his feet came out of the water first :eek:

Last he heard he was staying at academy to work on swimming before he would be allowed to go to sea.
