So I just had my state championship meet and I had a really stand out year. I was hoping to win state, but sadly got 2nd in the 50 free with a 21.03 and 3rd in the 100 free with a 46.59. I'm not a recruited athlete to the Naval Academy, and I didn't really mention swimming too much in my application. Should I e-mail the swim coach and let him know of my times and ask whether or not I'd be able to walk on to the team? Would letting the coach or the admissions office know that I placed so high at the state championship meet boost my application?
