Taking the DODMERB medical exam in a foreign country

Yes, you can. You can go to any physician, audiologist, and optometrist. If you are able to go to a military treatment facility it is no cost to you. If you cannot you'll have to pay for your visit(s). Instructions will be in the DODMERB package.

Can I take the DODMERB medical exam in a foreign country? Do I have to go to the nearest US Army base?
Yes, you definitely can! I live in Canada, so the DoDMERB asked me to go to my family doctor/audiologist/optometrist to get all my tests done. They sent me a PDF copy of all the information I would need to fill in, so I went to all my doctors, filled it in, and sent it back to them. They got back to me after just about a month, letting me know I cleared the medical and that they will forward the results to USAFA. Only downside is I had to pay for all the tests myself.

Definitely, they send you the forms and you have to work to find a provider who can help complete them properly. So, don't let that discourage you from applying.
