A friend of mine's brother is an adjunct professor of ECE at USNA....he sent this to his students tonight.

All,

Twas the night before exam 2, when all through the yard
not a sailor was stirring, not even a guard.
The calculators were all charging and set up with care,
in the hopes that after hard work good grades would be theirs.

The Midshipmen were nestled all snug in their beds,
while visions of "A" grades danced in their heads.
And Mama in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap,
had just settled down for a long winter's nap.

When out from my computer there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter,
Away to the terminal I flew like a flash,
logged in to my system and started up BASH

The terminal glowed with newly sent email,
From midshipmen with questions, it told quite the tale,
when, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
but 2200 on the clock with my gear.

Too late. Get me questions before 2200 or I will be asleep.

See you tomorrow.

Good stuff, Navymomwannabe! Thanks for sharing that.

My 4/C DS actually shooed me and my sister out of Annapolis as soon as the football game was over and we had grabbed a quick dinner at Dock Street. His roommates were going to watch a movie but he was headed back to spend his "meritorious" overnight studying!

He did take time to get his usual ice cream cone that always signifies the end of my visits!

Here's to fair seas and following winds this week!

That poem is too accurate- one thing I did not know about before coming here was six weeks and twelve weeks exams- plebe duties are relaxed somewhat, but they are very academically intense weeks!
