Hey there. Like many people the lore and history of tall ships just fascinates me. In doing some more research on the EAGLE I have found that it has participated in a training tall ship race before most recently in 2005. Looking at the race schedule for the Tall Ships Atlantic Challenge 2009 I see that its port of calls include a few stops in the States. 2009: Vigo (Spain) - Tenerife (Canary Islands) - Bermuda - Charleston (USA) - Boston (USA) - Halifax (Canada) - Belfast (UK) and the dates stateside seem to correspond with swab summer. So I was wondering if the Eagle might be throwing her hat in the ring again this year with the incoming class of 2013?

For those who would like more info about the race the website is http://www.sailtraininginternational.org/page.asp?partID=1

Also note the website has a good database with many tall ships from around the world including some of Eagle's sister ships.

I'm pretty sure that the 3/c (phase two) will be aboard for the tall ship stuff. I checked the dates on the website and they seem far too early for any swabs to be aboard as the first swab phase is around the last week of July.
