Is anyone here familiar with the TASSP (Texas Armed Services Scholarship Program)?
If you fail to fulfill the requirements, it converts to a loan. One of the requirements is that you "must contract to serve as a commissioned officer in any branch of the armed services of the US" but we are wondering if that includes commissioning through an Academy. DS has been awarded the TASSP for his freshman year at college and now has an appointment to USNA. We are wondering if that constitutes it converting to a loan. DH will call them directly but wondering if anyone has any experience with it here.
