I was planning on getting a tattoo prior to Beast (if I get an appointment). Regardless of personal feelings about tattoos how would I go about making sure USMA was aware of it and that it would not cause problems.
P.S There is no way the tattoo would violate AR670-1

DoDMERB reports all tattoos, brands, and body piercings, except "normal" ear piercings to the Academies and ROTC programs. If this is AFTER your DoDMERB exam, you should contact Admissions to accomplish your goal. :wiggle:

I have already been medically qualified. Would a tattoo change my DoDMERB status?
 
No. Tattoos, brands, and body piercings are ALL administrative in nature. DoDMERB doesn't DQ for those The point being, if some obtained one of those that did NOT conform with the SA/ROTC policy AFTER their DoDMERB, they could be barred from Admission. Hence, my guidance to tell your Admissions officer. :wiggle:
