Tattoos

Hi everyone. I have received and LOA and a nomination and am also a recruited athlete. I do not currently have a tattoo but I want to get one this Spring. I was wondering if this would cause problems when I show up on I-Day (if I get an appointment). Is there anyone I should talk to, to get it cleared? I don't want something as small as a tattoo to mess up my chances. Also, the tattoo is very small and would not show in uniform, and it's not offensive (it's an animal).

Don't do it. Wait until you are a Mid and know the regulations inside and out. Don't put a potential appointment at risk over something that doesn't have to be done now or even 6 months from now.

Uniforms also include regulation PT gear, so that visibility applies to s/s shirts, shorts, socks.

Be very clear on the policy and how it applies to you. If it's something you really want, and assuming you have a lifespan of another 60-75 years, you can afford to delay a bit and be absolutely sure.
