**Temporarily Stepping Away from SAF**

BLUF (BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT): Effective immediately, I will be stepping away from SAF ... until such time that DoDMERB becomes operational again.

DISCUSSION:

The DoDMERB system/website became inoperable on 22 Sep. As of 27 Oct, it remains inoperable.

While there are various COAs (Courses of Action) that are being worked manually (work-arounds), I need to place all of my attentions on the global task at hand, rather than responding to individual SAF inquiries. SAF questions may be sent to dha.ncr.dod-merb.mbx.helpdesk@health.mil .

Pls understand, that our primary focus is getting the system operational as soon as possible. Thanks for your understanding and patience during these very trying times. We understand the anguish on your side of the fence in not getting timely answers and we feel the same anguish in not being able to provide you those same answers. We hope to get back to "normal" very soon.:wiggle:
Hello, Just wondering if you have "stepped back" to the SAF and are open to questions regarding my USAFA Appointee DD who is currently in a Disqualification Rebuttal due to very minor and resolved injuries caused by a snowmobile accident early in March. Thank you!

We have not seen Mr. Mullen openly return here to offer to advise candidates on specific issues. I am sure he is still right on top of the DoDMERB website recovery process and keeping the focus on mission accomplishment this cycle.

There have been a few recent anecdotal reports of a candidate digging back in the DoDMERB threads and emailing Mr. Mullen about their issue/question and getting a response. If the candidate goes that route, be sure and include name and last 4 of SSM in subject line, and mention SAF as the background inspiration for the outreach.

SSN. Siri and I battle all the time.
The candidate should always email. Mr. Mullen is always very clear on that boundary.

What is Mr. Mullen's current e-mail address? I wrote to him "Larry.Mullen@dodmerb.tma.osd.mil" (found it somewhere on here from years ago) but haven't gotten a response for several weeks, so I'm wondering if there is a newer address he uses.

If you need to contact DoDMERB then use the contact info on their site. Mr. Mullen stepped away for his reasons. I think if he were open to getting emails from SAF posters, he would still be active on these forums.
