Got acceptance into Texas A & M Engineering, but not the main campus. They want me to go to the Blinn campus. It seems this is for a year, and I can transfer onto main campus if I get a 3.5 GPA. Does anyone have any feedback on this?

There's a lot of information on this on the "College Confidential" website. From what I've read, it's a very positive experience. I can't speak from experience however, as this option did not exist when I attended A&M. Do remember what is said throughout this forum: "take any path presented to you to attain that end goal!". An Engineering Degree from A&M is truly a golden ticket...

It is a wonderful program and from what I understand you can be dual enrolled into both TAMU and Blinn. You are participate in the Corp and all activities on TAMU. You can live on campus at TAMU.

My brother attended this program years ago and went on to graduate with his Engineering degree from TAMU. He speaks very highly of the entire experience and is a very successful engineer!

a lot of engineering majors have to do a year elsewhere, especially if you are from out if state. My DS had at a friend who was contracted NROTC and had to do a year at Galveston before getting into main campus.
